The distance from Dubrovnik Airport to Dubrovnik Old town is 21 km (13 miles). It is located in the village of Cilipi. It is about a 30-minute drive and since there is no Dubrovnik train service, all Dubrovnik transfers from the airport are by road.
Traffic jams may be experienced during the summer months and then a transfer time may be up to one hour, but if you travel from/to Dubrovnik airport in the early morning, a transfer to Dubrovnik center should last only 25 minutes.
That means your options are limited to Dubrovnik Airport Shuttle Bus, local taxi, Uber, private airport transfers providers (check our prices below), and car rentals from Dubrovnik Airport.
The cheapest but as well the slowest option is the shuttle bus for only 6 euros per person from the airport.
In the peak season, it takes up to an hour with a shuttle bus so it is not recommended even if you want to make the best of your time. You can also rent a car without a driver or take a local taxi or Uber service to get you to or from Dubrovnik Airport.
The most comfortable and complete way to get to Dubrovnik city or your hotel is by private transfer. In 25 or a bit longer driver you will enjoy the spectacular view, while your knowledgeable driver will respond to any query or remove any doubt you may have about Dubrovnik and Croatia.
